The Dynamic Movie and Bible
Study— “Courageous” starts February 26, at 9:30
a.m., in the Adult Bible Class in the education wing. This Bible study will
assist dads in their daily lives to fulfill their rolls within the Christian
family. We invite dads, moms, and all who are interested to come
and experience an inspirational look at the responsibilities
of Christian fathers.
“The Trials of
Jesus”—On Sunday February 26, we begin a new Bible study
in the fellowship hall led by Pastor Alter. The trials of Jesus take many
different shapes — the wilderness, political figures, friends. After
reading a passage that includes the voice of the prosecution, we
will gather some background information on the witness and explore what
God’s Word has to say about that member of the prosecution’s
claim. We will study the same “witness” each week that we will hear about
in our Wednesday Lenten worship. Please join us!
Vacation Bible
School—Making summer plans? Faith’s VBS is scheduled for
July 16-20, from 8:45 to 11:45 a.m. This year we are reaching for the
“Sky” where we learn that everything is possible with God. This VBS is
available for 3-year olds to those entering 5th
grade.
Lutherans For
Life—Meeting to be held Tuesday, February 28, at 5:30 p.m., in the
fellowship hall. This will be a short meeting discussing updated life issues
as well as upcoming Pro-Life events. Come join us to help the life
cause!
Scrappy Quilters—The
quilters will meet Thursday, March 1st, from 4-8 p.m., in the
fellowship hall. Come and help us make quilts for third world countries, Rape
& Abuse Center, Salvation Army Residents, or Birthright. No experience
necessary. Bring a scissors and a sandwich (soup will be provided). Stay
one, two, or all four hours. It’s good fellowship and a great mission
project.
Camping/Floating
Trip—The 13th Annual Trip is June 21-24. This year
we’re staying at Pulltite, south of Salem. Choose any or all of
these nights to camp but you need to make reservations now. This is a popular
campground and it will fill up. So far there are 5 Faith families with reserved
camp sites.
Rummage Sale—The Senior
Youth Rummage sale is coming March 22-24!
