All High School Youth & Parents
Next summer is the LCMS National Youth Gathering in San Antonio, TX.
When you sign up, you will receive Gathering information and registration forms. The
target date for registration is October 7th. We will also have calendars
available for the new youth year.
Building Blocks for Guatemala
Would you consider donating bricks to help build a home in
Guatemala? It only costs $3.22 for one brick. Stop by the Mission table outside the
narthex and pick up your pledge form, so we can track our donations and fill in our
model home. Track our progress by the number of bricks that are
added. We need over 1,400!
Church Picnic
The
annual Faith Lutheran Church carry-in picnic will be held September 9th, in
the fellowship hall and gym immediately following the 10:30 service. Please bring
your favorite dish. Lunch will be served at 12:30 with pork steaks, brats, and hotdogs
provided along with drinks and table service. In addition to many fun games for the
little Faith members, there will be various activities for the adults to join in with
the fun as well as other surprises. Finally, there will be a “Bake
Off” for pies and cakes. So bring your best recipe and after the judges
have tasted and made their decision, the entries will be added to the
dessert table for everyone’s enjoyment.
Apples of Gold
This class will start again the last week of September.
This is an event where older women of our church reach out to nurture
and encourage the younger women in the word of God. This six week study
is designed for younger women who are married with children to
gain a deeper understanding of God’s plan for marriage and
child-raising. Participants must be members of Faith. Each session includes a
mini-cooking demo, Bible Study, and lots of hospitality and
fun.
Informational Apples of Gold Tea
The Tea is planned for September 6, from 7:00-8:30 p.m., in the
parlor, to explain the event and choose an evening for the program. If interested
as a mentor or a mentee please attend. Questions? Call Brenda
